Moscow, April 19th. – The Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, Alexander Novak, held a business meeting with the Minister of Oil and Mining of the Republic of South Sudan, Stephen Dieu Dow.
The parties discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation between Russia and South Sudan in the energy sector.
“I am convinced that effective cooperation in the energy sector could contribute to the deepening and expansion of Russian-South Sudanese trade and economic relations, the revitalization of corporate relations and the search for new forms of mutually beneficial cooperation,” said Alexander Novak.
The head of the Ministry of Energy of Russia also thanked the Minister of Oil and Natural Resources of South Sudan for participating in the third National Oil and Gas Forum, which is being held in Moscow these days.
Following the meeting, the parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Oil and Mining of the Republic of South Sudan on cooperation in the field of energy.
